My Department is continuing to work with the service provider in question in the context of a proposal which they submitted in relation to home tuition payment arrangements. I expect that a decision on the matter will be taken in the near future.

Question 346: To ask the Minister for Education and Science the number of home tuition grants administered by his Department in which he is unable to offer an appropriate place to a child who has been diagnosed as being special needs; if the number of grants available have reduced in recent years as more autism specific units have been opened; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
