Question 127: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the basis on which a decision was made to reduce the number of beds in the Waterford specialist cancer centre; if she is satisfied that the necessary supports will be available in the community for the needs of cancer patients who would otherwise be treated in the hospital setting; if this change has cost-saving implications; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
