Question 200: To ask the Minister for Health and Children further to parliamentary Question No. 64 of 21 April 2005, her views on the practice of dumping crutches, zimmer frames and wheelchairs returned because they are no longer needed by patients on requiring repair by the Health Service Executive; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Health Service Executive recently responded to a similar parliamentary question regarding its policy on reusing aids and appliances such as crutches, zimmer frames and wheelchairs. I am arranging for a copy of the reply to be forwarded to the Deputy.
