I propose to take Questions Nos. 476 and 477 together.

The budgets in 2009 for the individual programmes that provide continuous professional development (CPD) for teachers are currently being finalised so the breakdown between primary and post primary is not yet available. However, I can inform the Deputy that the current allocation in the 2009 AEV for Subhead B.6 of my Department's Vote — In Career Development — amounts to €28.772m.

As the B.06 subhead is not a multi annual budget, I am not in a position to advise the Deputy of the allocation for 2010.
