Question 561: To ask the Minister for Education and Science the amount of State money that has been spent on State examinations for special centres on an annual basis since 1997; and the amount of money that has been spent in this respect in County Donegal. [42382/08]

The State Examinations Commission has statutory responsibility for operational matters relating to the certificate examinations, including charging and collecting fees for examinations and applying such monies to the carrying out of its functions, and designate places where examinations may be held.
