Seán Power, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources is responsible for the statutory functions of the Minister in the areas of:

Exploration and Mining;

Petroleum Affairs;

the Geological Survey of Ireland;

the Ordnance Survey Ireland;

Inland Fisheries.

In addition, the Minister of State is responsible on a non-statutory basis for issues relating to the information society including:

Preparation of the third national plan on the Information Society;

Management of the e-inclusion initiative;

EU and international reporting on the Information Society.
