Question 213: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will confirm that the €10.5 million reduction in Teagasc funding will not result in a delay in the inspection of 400 REP scheme four applications in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [37699/08]

Officials of my Department carry out inspections of a proportion of REPS applicants and Teagasc have no function in this respect. I am satisfied that my Department has sufficient resources to carry out the necessary number of inspections.
