Question 157: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason no appointment of a permanent District Court Judge in Waterford has been made; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that it has been 12 months since the last permanent appointment; if there is any other city in the country that does not have a permanent District Court Judge; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A judge is assigned on a temporary basis to Waterford District at present. Plans are in place to make a permanent assignment in the very near future.
