Question 376: To ask the Minister for Education and Science if, following his announcement of 29 September 2008 regarding the school building programme, he will set out the number and list of schools who have obtained tenders, but have yet to receive approval from his Department to proceed to construction; the cost to date to his Department in terms of all architectural, structural engineering and contractual fees which have been granted in respect of each of the schools on this list; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The schools which had already obtained tenders and which have not yet been approved to proceed to construction are listed in the following table. The total cost to date in respect of design team fees on each of these projects is also included.

I would also like to draw the Deputy's attention to my statement on 29th September that it is my intention to make a further announcement in the first quarter of 2009 on major primary and post-primary school projects to proceed to construction.
