The position is that an application under the Single Payment Scheme/Disadvantaged Area Compensatory Allowance Scheme was received from the person named on the 18th April 2007.

As part of the control procedures under EU legislation governing these Schemes, this application was selected for and was the subject of a ground eligibility inspection. This inspection was carried out and the application is now being processed for payment. It is expected that payment will issue shortly.

The application for the person named has been fully processed and any payment due under the Disadvantaged Area Scheme will issue shortly.

In addition, an application was received on 6 May 2008 requesting the transfer to the person named of 5.88 Single Farm Payment entitlements from her late husband. As the requested transfer was by way of inheritance, it was necessary to request the normal testamentary documentation. It was also necessary to advise the person named of the need to transfer the herd number into her name before the transfer could be completed. The herd number was subsequently transferred in June 2008 and, having received all necessary documentation, the requested transfer of entitlements has now been processed.
