The Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources was established in June 2007 and since then no new agencies under the aegis of the Department have been created. The position in relation to the existing agencies created since 1997 currently under the aegis of the Department is set out in the table.
Details of the annual budgetary allocation for each of these agencies, is set out in the Annual Reports of these bodies and is therefore already a matter of public record.
In the time available it has not been possible to set out definitive information in relation to the number of staff employed. I will revert to the Deputy on this matter as soon as possible.
