Question 71: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the specific plans she has to deal with the need for approximately 2,000 citizens who are amputees and who must pay for their own prostheses costing between €5,000 and €10,000, in view of the fact that they are neither covered by medical card or private health insurance, and that such prosthesis are provided free of charge in Northern Ireland and in the other European States; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
