Question 107: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the funding and financial arrangements in place to build a new central mental hospital at Thornton Hall; the financial arrangements intended, that is, if the project will be funded by direct Government investment or by way of public private partnerships; the projected cost of the hospital; and if she will make a statement on the matter. In accordance with the Government decision of 16th May 2006 to approve the development of a new national forensic mental health facility at Thornton Hall, Co. Dublin, the cost of developing the hospital will be met from the proceeds of the sale of the existing site in Dundrum.
