Question 73: To ask the Minister for Finance if he will expand in a more comprehensive way on his letter of 15 September 2008 (details supplied) regarding the status of the planned relocation of 300 personnel of the Department of Education and Science to Mullingar; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a site has been acquired, appropriate planning permission secured and comprehensive consultation has already taken place in readiness to accommodate the move; when the building will be ready to accommodate the 300 personnel who wish to move; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that the position in relation to the planned relocation of the Department of Education and Science to Mullingar remains as outlined in my letter of 15th September, 2008 to the Deputy. I expect to present the reports referred to in my letter to Government over the coming weeks and I will be in touch with the Deputy again when the reports have been considered.
