Question 200: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the bonuses awarded by her Department to staff members for the years 2005, 2006 and 2007; the number and proportion of staff in receipt of bonuses for each of those years; the average bonus paid; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The scheme of performance-related awards in the civil service applies to Deputy and Assistant Secretaries and equivalent grades. Details of awards to individual officers under the performance related scheme are not disclosed on the basis that they are confidential to the officer concerned. The awards paid to officers of my Department and associated Offices under the scheme for the years 2005, 2006 and 2007 were as follows:
