Question 1405: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will increase his Department's 2008 housing construction and regeneration allocation to Tralee Town Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30959/08]

In 2008, Tralee Town Council received an allocation of €10.5 million to support its social housing capital programme, with an additional allocation of €1 million to facilitate the regeneration of the Mitchels/Boherbee area of the town. It is not possible at this stage to consider an increase in the 2008 allocation given the overall demands on available resources nationally.
