Question 1186: To ask the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the funding provided to local partnership bodies in 2008 in order to allow them to extend their catchment areas. [30511/08]

The Local Development and Social Inclusion Programme (LDSIP) aims to counter disadvantage and promote equality and social and economic inclusion through the provision of funding and support to local Partnerships and Community Partnerships.

To date in 2008, a sum of €1,365,115 has been approved to Partnerships to further assist in a programme of expansion to extend their catchment areas.
