I have been informed by the Immigration Division of my Department that the person referred to by the Deputy was granted permission to remain under family reunification on the 15th April 2004. On the 26th August 2008 the person presented at her local Immigration Office informing them that her passport had been lost. The person was registered for a six month period until 26 February 2009 to allow her time to be issued with a new passport. The person should return to her local Immigration Office once she receives her new passport in order to have it endorsed with the appropriate permission to remain.
