I understand that Dublin Bus expects delivery of a hybrid double decker bus in the coming weeks. This will be the first such bus to be acquired by the CIE group and will be trialled for three years. The cost of its acquisition will be met by my Department.
It is my intention to publish, before the end of the year, a Sustainable Travel and Transport Action Plan which will inter alia set out my intentions in relation to improving the sustainability of the public transport fleet.
