Operational responsibility for the management and delivery of health and personal social services is a matter for the Health Service Executive (HSE) and funding for all health services has been provided as part of its overall vote. As I advised the Deputy by letter on 26 August 2008, the matter raised by him has been referred to the HSE. I understand that the hospital is in communication with the person in question in relation to an appointment.
