Question 84: To ask the Minister for Finance the cost and frequency of travel per month since the beginning of this new Government by Ministers and Ministers of State by means of bus transport, rail transport or air transport by Department and by Minister involved in the travel; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Table gives details of the number of trips per month by air transport made by my predecessor and myself during the period 14 June 2007 to date in 2008.

In all but one case (March 2008- €4604), the Government Jet was used and no charge was incurred by the Department of Finance. No bus or rail travel was undertaken in this period.
During the same period the Minister of State and his predecessor undertook the following trips:
