Question 903: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government his plans, following his recent meeting with the Irish Farmers Association for a further meeting with the organisation to discuss turf cutting on designated bogs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There are standing arrangements for regular discussions on matters of interest between my Department, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the farming representative organisations. I have no plans to have a special meeting with the Irish Farmers Association on this issue.
