Question 173: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the recorded number of persons suffering from cancer illness in the areas of Cobh, Ringaskiddy, Passage, Aghada and Midleton, County Cork, in each of the past three years; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [26275/08]

Statistics in relation to cancer incidence are collated by the National Cancer Registry. My Department has asked the Director of the Registry to examine this matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
