Question 110: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he has proposals to introduce a ban on the importation of pate foie gras in view of the fact that it is illegal to produce it in this country. [25339/08]

The production of pate foie gras is not banned in Ireland. The importation of this product is regulated at EU level and there are no current proposals to ban this trade.
