Question 280: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the other Departments in addition to the Department of Defence which have prepared biodiversity plans in accordance with the national biodiversity plan; the steps he is taking to ensure that those Departments that are required to prepare a biodiversity plan and have not done so, do so; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The production of biodiversity action plans under the National Biodiversity Plan by other Government Departments is a matter for those Departments. However, to support the process, my Department has developed and circulated guidelines on the development of sectoral biodiversity action plans to all Government Departments.
