Question 257: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he personally pays the toll charges incurred on his travels; if not, the cost to the taxpayer of such tolls for each of the past three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20273/08]

Ministerial cars are driven by members of An Garda Síochána. Such vehicles are exempt from tolls under section 62 of the Roads Act 1993. Accordingly, no cost arises to the Exchequer.
