Question 539: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government when he will approve the water main project from Kileglan to Monksland on the south Roscommon regional water supply; the reason it has taken 12 months to approve the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The South Roscommon Regional Water Supply Scheme is included in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2007-2009 as part of a grouped project to begin construction in 2009. Roscommon County Council is being requested by my Department to revise the Contract Documents for the scheme to take account of new public works contracts and conditions of engagement.
