Question 430: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the status of the application to have the deportation order revoked for a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16363/08]

An application to revoke the deportation order for the person in question has been considered by my Department.
In light of all the circumstances in this case a recommendation was made to me not to revoke the deportation order. Having reviewed the matter I concurred with this recommendation and have affirmed the deportation order.
