Question 116: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to the concerns regarding the operation of the sluice gates in the Ringabella embankment dam near Minane Bridge, County Cork which is the responsibility of the Office of Public Works; and if he will take steps to ensure that the infrastructure is upgraded at this stage. Cork County Council recently approached the Office of Public Works regarding the sluice gates referred to by the Deputy. The OPW have no responsibility for the maintenance of these structures and do not propose to carry out any works to them.
