Question 428: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if, in any circumstance, a person who owns land not subject to a compulsory purchase order but who is inconvenienced for a considerable amount of time by virtue of works adjacent to their land, which are the subject of a compulsory purchase order, is entitled to compensation from the local authority for inconvenience and disturbance. It is open to any landowner who claims to suffer disturbance arising from public works being carried out on adjacent land to seek legal advice on whether or not he/she may be entitled to seek compensation in the specific circumstances of the case concerned.
