Question 413: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the identity of each statutory instrument, falling within his Department's remit, which has statutory effect under the European Communities Act 1972 or other legislation specifically relating to same; if he will provide a list of such statutory instruments having statutory effect; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to inform the Deputy that the information sought is not readily available in my Department and could not be collated without the application of a disproportionate amount of staff time.

However, I can inform the Deputy that regulations made under the European Communities Act 1972 contain within the preamble, in each case, a reference to that Act. Copies of all Statutory Instruments made since the coming into effect of the 1972 Act up to the end of June 2005 are available on the Irish Statute Book website (www.irishstatutebook.ie).

Statutory Instruments made under that Act, within my remit, since the end of June 2005 are listed below.

European Communities (Placing on the Market and Supervision of Explosives for Civil Uses) Regulations 2005 (S.I. 546 of 2005)

European Communities (European Enforcement Order) Regulations 2005 (S.I. 648 of 2005)

European Communities (Free Movement of Persons) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 226 of 2006)

European Communities (Eligibility for Protection) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 518 of 2006)

European Communities (Free Movement of Persons) (No. 2) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 656 of 2006)

European Communities (Enforcement of Community Judgements, Orders and Decisions) Regulations 2007 (S.I. 121 of 2007).
