Question 216: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the relevant section in an application for naturalisation which relates to an application based on marriage to an Irish citizen needs to be completed in the event of the applicant being married to an EU citizen; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I assume the Deputy is referring to the affidavit which is the final part of the application form to be completed. It is only necessary to complete this section if the applicant is applying on the basis of his/her marriage to an Irish citizen.
