Question 178: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Finance if he will confirm that Seanad Éireann will not be moving to the Natural History Museum for the duration of the renovation of Leinster House; when he expects renovation works to begin on the Natural History Museum; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that the Natural History Museum will not be used to accommodate Seanad Éireann during the renovation works to Leinster House. Subject to obtaining suitable tenders and obtaining the necessary approvals such as planning permissions and fire certificates, it is expected that a contractor will be appointed to commence works on the Natural History Museum by August 2009.
