Question 887: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to whether the harassment of a person (details supplied) by gardaí in Dun Laoghaire is ongoing; further to his letter of 1 November 2007 in which he stated the matter was receiving attention in his Department, the form this attention took; and the outcome of same. I understand that the person to whom the Deputy refers has made a complaint in relation to this matter to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission. The Ombudsman Commission is statutorily independent in its examination of complaints and I have no role in the matter.
