Question 49: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works has plans to install flood lighting at Ballinacarriga Castle, Dunmanway, County Cork, to light up the exterior of the castle which would greatly enhance the castle at night; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Office of Public Works have no plans at present to floodlight Ballinacarriga Castle. A review of the impact of floodlighting on National Monuments in State care is being undertaken at present which will inform future policy in relation to this matter.
