Question 544: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if, in the context of recent correspondence from Westmeath County Council dated 19 February 2008, Milltownpass sewerage scheme will be considered as a major capital scheme as originally proposed in the water services investment programme, which would permit it to be funded under the water pricing report rather than a SLI; if he will give positive consideration to the said proposal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Milltownpass Sewerage Scheme is included in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2007-2009 under the Rural Towns and Villages Initiative. My Department is considering the issues raised in the correspondence referred to and will respond to Westmeath County Council shortly.
