Question 41: To ask the Minister for Transport the number of road accidents in each of the past three years both fatal and non-fatal; the extent to which statistics have been retained relating to the cause or causes of such accidents; the efforts made to address the issues arising therefrom; the budgetary provisions made to implement these measures; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the Road Safety Authority Act 2006 (Conferral of Functions) Order 2006 (S.I. No 477 of 2006) responsibility for the collection and analysis of structured information on road collisions now lies with the Road Safety Authority.
