Question 103: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Garda investigation into the Northern Bank robbery in 2004 has been completed; if the Gardaí are of the view that money recovered in Cork in 2005 were proceeds of the robbery; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the Garda Síochána has submitted a comprehensive investigation file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in relation to this matter and that directions remain awaited.
As the issue remains the subject of ongoing consideration by the DPP, it would not be appropriate to make further comment at this stage.
