Question 50: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the number of applications and the amount applied for in grants under the farm improvement grants scheme received by each of the offices and suboffices of her Department after 22 October 2007 and before 31 October 2007; if each of these applications will be accepted; if not the shortfall in funding needed to complete these applications; and if she will make a statement on the matter. 12,675 applications were received by my Department under the Farm Improvement Scheme prior to its suspension on 31 October 2007. A county-by-county breakdown of these applications is as follows:

These applications are currently being processed within my Department up to the level of funding made available for the Scheme in the 2006 Partnership agreement, Towards 2016. It is not possible at this stage to provide the value of applications received between 22 and 31 October 2007.
