Question 327: To ask the Minister for Education and Science if she will present in tabular form the progress at the end of 2007 in respect of units or agencies under her Department which are due to decentralise showing in respect of each the number of posts to be decentralised, the number who have moved to the new location, the number who have been assigned to the decentralised post but have not moved, the number of staff who have been assigned who are new recruits and the number who have opted to stay in Dublin who have been assigned to other posts within Dublin. The following is the information requested by the Deputy in tabular form. As my Department is scheduled to decentralise in full the officers opting to remain in Dublin who have been assigned to posts remaining in Dublin have transferred out of my Department.

1On the basis of the information provided by these bodies to the Department of Education & Science it is known that at least 40 posts assigned to staff who will decentralise in them are held by relatively new recruits. Not all of the bodies have provided full data on this issue — the figure of 40 may rise when such data is provided.
