Question 103: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the arrangements made by the Health Service Executive to provide accommodation for separated children seeking asylum; the steps that have been taken in the past 12 months to ensure the adequacy of the care provided in view of the concerns expressed by the Ombudsman for Children; and the services in place to ensure that adequate standards are maintained with properly trained care staff in the accommodation provided whether it is public or private. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have the matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
