Question 1143: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 844 of 11 December 2007, if he will request the Garda Authorities to review the closed circuit television footage referred to and to pursue again that aspect of the case as it may help identify those involved. I am informed by the Garda authorities that as part of their investigation a large quantity of closed circuit television footage was seized at the time of the incident referred to. This footage was not sufficient to identify any suspects. I am further informed that the local Garda management are currently carrying out a full review of this aspect of the investigation and any new lines of enquiry arising will be thoroughly investigated. As this is an ongoing Garda investigation it would be inappropriate for me to comment further at this time.
