Question 532: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if his Department, or its agencies has paid in advance for works or services that will not be completed before the end of the 2007 financial year; the reasons for doing so; the amount of the payments; the recipients and the nature of the works or services; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information sought in relation to works and services for the Department will be complied as part of the accounting arrangements for the Department's appropriation account after year end and details will be forwarded to the Deputy before the end of January.
As I have no function in the matter, information is not available in my Department on such day-to-day operational matters in relation to local authorities or bodies under the aegis of my Department.
