Question 34: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, further to Parliamentary Question No. 109 of 9 October 2007, when he expects to receive the findings of the interdepartmental group established to consider the future of Spike Island; when a decision will be taken regarding the future of Spike Island; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to advise the Deputy that the Interdepartmental Group set up to examine the future of Spike Island is still continuing its deliberations. I await its findings which will inform future plans for the Island.
