Question 123: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the position of the investigation into the treatment of a patient (details supplied) in County Wexford; if all the medical personnel that were involved with the patient from 28 March 2004 to date in 2007 have been asked to cooperate and have input into the investigation; when she expects that the family will receive a copy of the investigation; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Operational responsibility for the management and delivery of health and personal social services is a matter for the Health Service Executive and funding for all health services has been provided as part of its overall Vote. Therefore, the Executive is the appropriate body to consider the particular case raised by the Deputy. My Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have the matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
