Question 499: To ask the Minister for Education and Science the number of private psychological assessments that have been sanctioned by the National Educational Psychological Service since it was established in 1999; the number of requests that have come from schools which were not served directly by the NEPS service in each year; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I set out below for the Deputy's information a count by academic year of the number of assessments by private psychologists requested by schools and the number of assessments sanctioned for payment by my Department's NEPS service under the Scheme for Commissioning of Psychological Assessments (SCPA).
