The Department has not received any EU funding directly in respect of programmes operated by it since its establishment in June, 2002. However a number of the Agencies operating under the aegis of the Department in the tourism, arts/culture/film and sport areas are involved in programmes that may involve EU funding. Such activities fall within the day–to–day responsibilities of the Agencies in question and details of such arrangements are normally set out in the Annual Reports and Accounts of the bodies in question, copies of which are available in the Dáil Library.
