The development of the new Central Mental Hospital (CMH) at Thornton Hall, Co Dublin is the responsibility of the HSE. I am advised that preliminary discussions have taken place with Fingal County Council and that the CMH project will require planning permission. The HSE will seek planning permission at the appropriate time and will engage in the normal process of public consultation in this regard.
