Question 236: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he has received technical advice on the degree to which the River Liffey continues to provide supplies of drinking water and cater for waste water treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Local authorities are responsible for the operation and management of water supply and wastewater treatment infrastructure. Details of the volumes of water abstracted from, and of wastewater discharges to, the River Liffey may be obtained from the relevant local authorities.
