Question 188: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason for the delay in the renewal of the residency status in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare in view of the fact that they provided all information as requested; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The person in question was granted permission to remain in the State on 5th September, 2005 under the revised arrangements for parents of Irish children born before 1st January, 2005, commonly referred to as the IBC/05 scheme.
An application for renewal of this permission to remain in the State was received by my Department on 25th September, 2007. A request for additional documentation in respect of this application issued to the person in question on 4th October, 2007. A further request issued on 23rd October, 2007. The renewal application will be considered further upon receipt of the requested documentation.
